Europa Cantat (European Federation of Young Choirs) is a European youth choir organisation founded in 1960/1963. It consists of singers, choirs, choral conductors, composers, choir organisations and choir managers of more than 40 European countries and 50 countries worldwide. Thus directly represents more than one million members.
The aim of Europa Cantat is to encourage cultural diversity and cultural exchange and to support the development of new contemporary vocal music. In particular, this is achieved through various training opportunities both for conductors and singers, where participants from different countries meet to share music and their everyday life. A particular concern is to bring together musicians from different countries and regions of Europe as well as of different cultural backgrounds to provide people with economic, social or other difficulties access to music.
PAMINA participates in various activities of Europa Cantat, among other things the EUROPA CANTAT festivals.
